Hi, I’m Jean!

I’m a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, native New Yorker, runner, dog mom and lover of all things food. I discovered my passion for cooking as a teen and developed a knack for altering recipes to make them more nutritious. I saw this as a life hack. Once I started working in the nutrition field, though, I realized that, for many people, not knowing how to cook is a huge barrier for improving eating habits.

Like many of my clients, I need my food to taste good. And as a busy New Yorker I understand that many people don’t have time to spend an hour prepping and cooking meals. I approach counseling sessions with this in mind, and will adjust recommendations according to the client’s individual schedule and dietary preferences. I don’t believe in diets (they don’t work), nor do I encourage restricting any foods unless it’s medically necessary. I do emphasize inclusion of whole, fresh ingredients, mindful eating, and moderation.
